Teak is a wood species like no other and is called the ‘King of the Woods’. Because teak is a precious wood type, it is important to fulfill a requirement as close as possible. Teak & Worldwood
Worldwood has opportunities for a project-oriented approach for purchasing, processing and storage. Worldwood sells teak in a variety of sizes and also special quarter sawn, which can be offered in customer-specific sizes.

Teak is easy to saw and planing. Depending on the lime and gravel content, the tools stumble more or less quickly. In general, it is recommended to use tools with carbide cutting edges.

The height and diameters of the teak trees are highly dependent on the growth site and the soil condition. Under favorable conditions, there are teak trees with a height of 40-45 m, with diameters up to 1.80-2.40 m. These large trees have a branch-free strain of 25-27 m.

In general, Worldwood prefers a natural seasoning process, which in most cases is also the case. However, in some cases there is no time for a natural seasoning process and we use one of our three kilns. Worldwood guarantees that no seasoning of wood in any kiln is mixed with another type of wood to prevent color problems. Worldwood employees are experienced and qualified to give the teak the special treatment it deserves.
