Log-book "The route to sustainable forest management in Burma 08 June 2006 12 May 2006 Worldwood has decided to stop the cooperation with Boogaerdt and van de Stadt in the project “The route to sustainable forest management in Burma”, because both actors has a different vision on the realization of the project. Worldwood still works on the project and take action in the cooperation of a sustainable relationships with suppliers and participation in projects in Myanmar (Burma). 31 January 2006 Demonstrable legality for Myanmar teak is theoretical possible. Phase 1.2 of the project has to be made cooperation with MTE and suppliers. Track and trace is possible. MTE and the private suppliers have much paperwork where the tree can be traced back until a certain level. In phase 1.2 this will be an important point of interest. Corporate social responsibilities: Private sawmills (suppliers) have a higher average ranking as average on corporate social responsibilities in Myanmar. In phase 1.2 suppliers will be audited and a part of the audit is taking care of the social circumstances and the OESO-guidelines. Findings:
